I want to know the chemical reactions that happens when making salt from sea water

Salts generally refer to ionic compounds, like "potassium iodide" (KI) or "sodium chloride" (NaCl). What we commonly use as table salt is sodium chloride.These salts, and many others, are found dissolved in sea water. Sodium chloride is the major salt present.To isolate the "sea salt" we simply need to remove the water, usually by evaporating it off in vast plains, using wind and the sun's heat to increase the rate of water evaporation.
