I was awarded top student award in 1975 at UMIST, during my undergraduate studies.

As an A level student in Tanzania, I won the nationwide senior contest in Maths in 1973

Current: Retired in 2016, now working as a community volunteer and travelling, and in studying
nutrition and health.

1996 – 2001: Freelance consultant to the real-time programming industry.
1997 – 2001: Independent consultant to the Norwegian State Oil Company on Safety Systems.
1986 – 1997: Working for various firms as a programming consultant, including Ferranti and BP.

TEACHING AND TUTORING EXPERIENCE:

I taught one student Maths for 3 months prior to starting my undergraduate course and the student went on to get a A in 'A' levels.

When I set up Manchester International College and International Learning Centre, I taught English, Maths, IT and Business Admin to pre-university students for the first few years. Thereafter, I managed the company.

I have tutored my children and grandchildren in all school subjects up to A levels, particularly, Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

I am currently doing a PGCE/QTS with Manchester Metropolitan University, to teach Maths at Secondary School.
