Methodology

I am a young enthusiastic person with a genuine passion for teaching. I have worldwide experience as a professional trombone player.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I am a Brass Instrumental Teacher.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I gained a BMus from The Royal Academy of Music. This is not only a performing qualification but also an academic qualification from the university of London. At the same time I also studied for the LRAM, becoming a Licentiate of The Royal Academy of Music in 2005. This is a teaching qualification. In 2006 I was given a full scholarship to The Royal College of Music where I graduated from in 2008 with an Advanced PG Dip.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £30 per hour. If I travel to the students house I charge £40 per hour due to travel costs and time.

- Where do you teach?

At the moment I teach in my house in Forest Hill, surrounding areas such as Brockley, Dulwich and Sydenham. I also travel to west London.

- When are you available?

I am available throughout the week.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all levels and ages.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

All grades and music medals.

Experience

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have held the position of Assistant Principal Trombone of The Santiago Opera, performed worldwide, including The Performing Arts Centre Orchestra in Hyogo, Osaka, Japan and The Symphony Orchestra of India in Mumbai. Closer to home I have performed with such orchestras as The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Concert Orchestra. I have also toured extensively with an NME award winning band called 'These New Puritans. In other genres of music I have also played Matilda in the West End and Chicago the touring show.
I teach in several schools in and around London and have experience in leading music workshops with children of all ages.

I have a CRB certificate.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I trained with the trombonists of, The London Symphony Orchestra, The Vienna Philharmonic, The Philharmonia Orchestra and The Royal Opera House (Covent Garden).
