- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach piano (practical music lessons) and maths.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
My most recent qualification is a BSc 2:1 joint honours degree in physics with musical performance, awarded jointly from both Imperial College London (IC) and the Royal College of Music (RCM). (To explain: this 4-year dual degree entails completing both a BSc 3-year physics course and a 4-year practical piano playing course in 4 years). Prior to university, I attained 3 As at A-Level and 11 GCSEs.
- How much do you charge?
Regular charges are £30/hr for piano lessons and £25/hr for maths tuition. Consultation lessons are £20 and £15 respectively. The rates are including all travel expenses.
- Where do you teach?
I travel to students homes in the West London area ie. Hammersmith and Fulham, Chelsea and Westminster, Kensington, Ealing, etc. Please contact me if you are not sure whether you are near!
- When are you available?
I am available most evenings and weekends, and will therefore find regular days in which to teach.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach Piano to students of all ages and standards, from absolute beginner to conservatoire (diploma) level. Also, I teach Maths up to GCSE level, and again, this can be for students of all ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
For music, ABRSM preparatory exam, grades 1-8 and diploma (or ATCL equivalent). For maths, up to GCSE or equivalent. Please enquire about any other exams you may wish to take.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching piano now for 6 years and have taught pupils ageing from 6 to 19 years old. I have taught maths at the Kumon Institute of Education ((concealed information) which includes teaching KS1,2,3 and GCSE and A-level maths. Also, having taught them privately, guided two pupils to GCSE Maths grade C or above.
