My teaching method is based primarily round the goals, and ambitions of the student, and what they want to achieve or even going on a journey with them in order to find out what that might be if they are unsure.
I am receptive to a lot of different learning abilities, and I highly appreciate that everyone learns differently, and I try to base my teaching around what works best for the individual. Some people need a rigid structure, while others need a little bit of freedom, and I'm happy to cater to both.
I am also open to feedback, so I can also learn and improve myself, with the help of my students.
I am a graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music, and I have a Bmus in music performance with honours.
I have been teaching privately since 2014. and I have experience with age groups ranging from 10 to 35.
I am well versed in a wide range of styles, and I'm capable of at least getting a student comfortable with playing in a new genre.
I have grade 5 music theory, and I am happy teach broader musical concepts, such as theory, composition, and improvisation.
