About the lesson
Singing and piano lessons for all ages and abilities. Patient and friendly teacher.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical and musical theatre singing, piano and music theory. All ages and abilities welcome.
Lessons include: technique, song interpretation, acting through song, exam preparation, audition preparation, confidence building.
Music workshops: for schools, businesses, community groups etc. All are tailored to individual needs. From team building days to permanent sessions.

BMus (Hons) Classical Vocal Studies with an endorsement in Community Music (RSAMD)
MA (Perf) Musical Theatre (RSAMD)
- How much do you charge?
Lessons are £20 for 30 minutes or £35 for one hour. Please note that this is charged per discipline if taking singing and piano lessons. (prices current from January 2012).
After the initial trial lesson, I ask that lessons are paid for in advance. I have a 48 hour cancelation policy in order for me to offer the slot to another student. Any lesson not cancelled within this time will be charged in full.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in South Croydon (CR2). About 5 minutes from South Croydon rail station.
I can also teach from Central London. (This will incur an additional studio hire fee on top of lesson rate)
- When are you available?
Negotiable depending on slots available or permanent weekly lessons. Please email or call to arrange.

All ages and abilities welcome.

All graded exams. (ABRSM, Trinity etc.)

As a singer I am currently a Guest Artist for English National Ballet's "Strictly Gershwin" (Royal Albert Hall, London Coliseum and UK Tour). Recent work includes session singing and recording for EMI and the BBC.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I first trained as a pianist and singer at the Junior Academy of Music of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD). This was followed by undergraduate study, graduating with a BMus (Hons) in Classical Vocal Studies and an endorsement in Community Music. I was then awarded an RSAMD Trust Scholarships and an Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award administered by the Musicians Benevolent Fund to study for a Masters at Postgraduate level graduating with an MA (Perf) in Musical Theatre.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently a peripatetic singing teacher at Forest School, Snaresbrook, a leading independent co-educational and Trinity School, Lewisham a comprehensive with a grammar ethos. My students have included those who sing for pleasure and those who wish to pursue a career in the arts. I have taught people between the ages of 4 and 79 in setting such as private lessons, choirs, community projects, nurseries, theatre schools, special needs schools, mainstream education and international music festivals.
