« I started as a beginner to piano. Sabina teaches the theory of a topic and then gives me the opportunity to put that into practise. I learnt chords and arpeggios quickly with this approach. She is patient and gives encouragement. Her performance as a teacher has exceeded my expectations. I didn't think that I would be able to read music this quickly! Lessons always run on time. I am very happy to have Sabina as a teacher as she explains things very clearly and is very patient. »

Methodology

I am a young enthusiastic clarinet, saxophone and piano teacher. I am a Clarinet and Woodwind tutor at both a primary school and secondary school in London. I have flexible hours during the weekend for private one-to-one tuition.

I teach Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano and Music Theory. All music styles are covered including classical, pop and jazz.

Master of Arts, Royal Academy of Music (current)

LRAM (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music - teaching diploma from the Royal Academy of Music)

2:1 BMus(Hons), Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance

LTCL Diploma for Clarinet (distinction, 2009)

ABRSM Grade 8 Clarinet (distinction, 2008)
ABRSM Grade 6 Piano (distinction, 2009)

I teach at my house in South East London (closest stations are Greenwich, New Cross and Deptford Bridge DLR).

I teach all ages and abilities (from young children to retired adults and complete beginners to advanced students).

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) graded exams (practical and music theory)

Trinity Guildhall graded exams (classical and jazz)

Practical exams include pieces, scales, aural and sight-reading.

I am able to arrange lessons over Skype at the same rate of £30/hour.

I am the Woodwind tutor at Sedgehill School, Lewisham where I teach children aged 11-13 in a whole-class setting.

I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years (age ranging from young children to mature students and standard ranging from complete beginner to advanced)
