I have recently moved to London from Scotland, and am looking to start teaching whilst I study at university.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical guitar, orchestration, music theory and songwriting. I also tutor for music theory exams.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Applied Music. My major project was a solo concert but I also studied composition and orchestration, as well as music history and theory. I am currently studying towards an MA in Music Therapy.
- How much do you charge?
My fee is £25. I may charge a bit extra if you live in Zone 1.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in my students' homes. I live in South East London but am at uni in South West (Roehampton/Putney), so am available to teach in both areas.
- When are you available?
I am available all day Wednesday, Thursday evenings and Friday all day. Weekend lessons can also be arranged.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach adults and children, from beginners upwards.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I am able to tutor via email or Skype.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately since 2004, as well as leading some guitar groups in high schools. Since January 2009 I have been leading guitar groups for people with Aspergers syndrome, and music groups for people with head injuries. I have experience teaching adults and children, as well as adults and teenagers with special needs.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied classical guitar with Neil Wilson and Dr Peter Argondizza (University of Strathclyde), Matthew McAllister, and Gary McLeod (Penicuik High School). I also studied composition and orchestration with Mark Sheridan (University of Strathclyde).
