- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach saxophone, clarinet and theory...classical and jazz.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA in music from Yale University, where I studied performance with Gerald Baum and theory with Allen Forte and Jonathan Kramer. I also studied briefly with Fred Lipsius (founding member and saxophonist in Blood Sweat and Tears) while living in New York City.
- How much do you charge?
My fees are £40 per hour lesson and £20 per half-hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I will teach at your home and am happy to travel within a reasonable distance of Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
- When are you available?
I am generally available most days of the week, day or night (within reason) exceptions being Monday evening and Saturday morning.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach any ages from 10 yrs to adult, and from absolute beginners through grade 8.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have played both clarinet and saxophone since the age of 10, and played first chair alto sax for three years in the Yale University Concert Band. I was also a founding member of the Yale University Sax Quartet, playing soprano sax.
Since university I have played in numerous small combos and currently play lead alto in a local big band, first chair in a local concert band and with several small jazz and blues combos.
I am currently resident saxophone and clarinet teacher at one of the area's prominent music shops, and have been since the beginning of 2012.

I have an enhanced CRB certificate.
