My teaching method is to assess the child’s current ability and to cater my lessons around that. I try to start with addressing what they're struggling with and find ways to make it easier for the student to understand. With slight pushes, I’ve found this to be most successful when mentoring children previously.
I am a second year Drama student who has prior experience with mentoring children at my old school. I focused on addressing where the child was struggling and then finding creative ways, to make it easier for them to understand. I continued this voluntary tutoring on and off throughout my sixth form experience.
These subjects included the following subjects: GCSE/As Drama, GCSE Maths, As History and GCSE French. As a half French citizen with dual nationality, I attained an A grade in GCSE French and would love to help someone understand another language, which they'd initially find scary or tricky. I also continued with History and Drama into A-Level, attained a B grade in both subjects and am currently progressing with Drama at degree level.
She is very punctual and enjoys helping people, especially if it’s children struggling with school. She’s very easy going, lovely to talk to and is very understanding.
