My teaching method is to explain the concept of the question we are trying to solve, show how to work it out using two examples and then ask the student to work out an answer to their own exercise ensuring they understand what they are doing and why they are doing it; understating ensures they remember the process to the solution. Only after they understand I will give them another set of exercises on a worksheet and assist them when they need help but also give them the independent study time they need to give the questions a good go. There will also be a worksheet to take home with the last few questions being a bit harder to push the student to achieve great things.
I am a student who at GCSE achieved both A in Maths, English and Science. During A levels I got A*AAA in Maths, Biology, Psychology and EPQ. Moreover recently I got a first class in my first year at Imperial College London. My passion has always been maths and science and I was able to achieve fantastic grades whilst enjoying the process of learning and revising. I wish to pass on my knowledge on how to achieve brilliant academic results despite the specification getting harder each year.
