I am an English Literature and Language teacher currently teaching in a secondary school in Hertfordshire. I teach three KS3 classes and three KS4 classes, the exam board at my current school is AQA but I am familiar with the others. My teaching style is largely guided by the individual student - I will work with the student to find out what the most effective way of working through a particular unit of work/subject area is for the individual. I teach students with a broad range of ability so I am able to adapt my teaching and lesson plans with ease.
I have been a teacher for two years, and have worked in schools for three years. I currently teach one Year 8 class, one Year 9 class, one Year 10 class and two Year 11 classes. My classes have an average of thirty students in each, and they are streamed classes. Currently all of my students are on their target grades and working well towards their end of year final grades.

Having known Emily over the last 5 years and throughout her teaching career, I have nothing but positive praise for her passion and enthusiasm for teaching. Emily is a highly motivated, friendly and most importantly patient individual, giving as much time as is needed to help those whom she works with. Emily has demonstrated her commitment and ability in teaching, having been promoted to Key Stage 3 leader within the first year of passing her NQT year.
Emily is extremely diligent, reliable and hard working. Her commitment to teaching is second to none in school and I know she'll give the same focus and attention in a tutorial environment. Emily really cares about the progress of her students and I would recommend her to anyone.
