Methodology

I believe that building a rapport and gaining an understanding of how individuals like to learn is key to success. Learning must be structured and meet the requirements of the exam, but in a meaningful way that links to the outside world. Skills taught must be transferable to other subjects and situations, whilst still ensuring the mark scheme criteria is met.

Experience

I am an English teacher and literacy lead in a secondary school. I have been teaching for 3 years, and also work as an examiner for AQA, marking English Language. I have vast experience of teaching A Level English Language, teaching both Paper 1 and Paper 2. My first degree is in English Language and Linguistics with TESOL, and my masters degree is in English Literature.
