I base my lessons on the person's unique learning style and a range of learning techniques for those with learning disabilities.
SEN Mentor/tutor - I have a degree in Psychology and specialised in Learning Disabilities. I am also SEN qualified. I have mentored university students for 4 years, teenagers for 5 years, and currently work in a school supporting students who require extra support.
My rates are flexible dependent on home income, so please don't feel that if you cannot afford my rates that I will not be able to help you at a subsidized cost.
I can teach English at Primary and Secondary Level.
I can also teach Psychology to Degree Level as I completed my degree in Psychology.
My teaching methods are tailored to the individual's learning style and I work at the pace of the individual. I will even take an individual back a level if I think they need it.
I work with all students but am specialized in EAL (English as a second language) and SEN (Special Educational Needs). Sometimes the class environment is not the best place to consolidate learning as the pace can be too fast. Therefore, I offer tutoring at the individual's pace and not concerned at all about repetition of a subject.
Perfect! Helen is a fantastic tutor who is focused, organised, engaging and receptive to my son's needs. His confidence in English studies has defintely soared in recent months and this is undoubtedly due to Helen's listening and teaching skills..long may her good work continue!
