Hi, I’m Pete, and I’m presently working at Birkdale, travelling to sunny Gainsborough for lots of GCSE poetry and prose ( who can tire of one's anthology of poems? Polite answers only, please), teaching Macbeth, IELTS ( there's always IELTS ), City and Guilds and the Weimar with a student from Sheffield High. Yes, my day is certainly varied and involves much zigzagging across our grey Yorkshire city. At the moment my day encompasses EFL and IELTS; 11 plus; GCSE English, History and Maths; A level History and Politics; and KS2 English, Maths and Science – those mobile skeletons pasted on turquoise card are quite something!I trust we are all heads down in books - don' t fret, it'll be all worthwhile. Then we can repeat the process next year, and the year after, and the year after that. But as the clock ticks remorselessly down I shall be girding myself for a spot of Edexcel History marking and the odd piece of post grad proof reading. Yes, it's true, the fun really doesn't end! Maybe in August with a mojito by a blue lagoon? Cheers, Pete.
