About the lesson
Singing was always my biggest passion in life and nothing makes me happier than sharing it with others!
From complete beginners with a love for music or desire to learn correct technique to experienced singers preparing for gigs, auditions and recording sessions,
I am here to take your voice to the next level.
I strongly believe that singing is for everyone, no matter your age, background or experience. Singing is so much more than just hitting the notes, it’s about storytelling and self expression.
You’ll only need a desire to sing and a will to learn :)
I teach in all contemporary vocal styles, including Jazz, Pop, Rock, Musical, R’n’B, Soul, Funk, Folk etc.
Lessons will be tailored to your needs, adapted to your pace and learning style.
Some of the vocal tools we'll be working on are:
Pitch and rhythm
Mastering your vocal range
Smooth register transition
Tone (timbre) quality
Vocal resonation and projection
Interpretation / phrasing
Strong support (breathing, posture)
Vocal effects and styling
Harmony and theory for singers
Building confidence and letting go of limiting beliefs
Acting through song
Microphone / PA experience
My background in performance and studying traditional methodologies helped me to discover many different tools and strategies when it comes to teaching singing.
I’m especially passionate about teaching the little ones and after working with children for many years I find it easy to adjust the lessons to their unique level.
Singing lessons for kids and teenagers focus on encouraging their love for music and performance. Since my teenage years I've worked with children, at birthday parties as well as a nanny which helped me to develop a unique methodology tailored to them. The lessons give children the opportunity to explore different musical activities in a fun and exciting way. There is a varied programme each week which covers singing, movement, story telling and many different games and activities. Children develop their understanding of pulse, rhythm and pitch as well as exploring the sounds of percussion instruments and being introduced to the piano. The class is always guaranteed to be lots and lots of fun!
Singing and musicianship encourages stronger communication skills and builds confidence, as well as stimulating creativity.
Alongside healthy vocal technique, I aim to nurture the artist in every child and young adult.
I've personally trained with many wonderful mentors and teachers before embarking on my own teaching journey which inspired me to bring together the best of that knowledge and develop my own methodology.

Growing up in a family of musicians,
early on I got a clear insight into the good as well as more difficult sides of doing music professionally.
My musical journey included:
10 years of singing lessons and touring the world with one of the best classical choirs from age 9 to 15 - gave me the opportunity to develop my vocal technique.
West End musical theatre course in London, which planted a seed in my love for this amazing city.
Jazz workshops and seminars meeting many musicians and mentors from all around the world, which opened my eyes to a different way of thinking about music.
Leading my own bands from 16 years old until today which gave me the opportunity to perform as a soloist in different genres ranging from rock to pop, blues, r'n'b, funk, soul.
Touring as a backing vocalist for 6 years performing in front of thousands before deciding to study music in University.
Despite studying singing, I wanted to dig deeper and learn more about the voice as an instrument so I became dedicated to learning about the fascinating vocal science, discovered a passion for vocal pedagogy and decided to embark on this wonderful teaching journey.
My approach is holistic, which means I'm aware of all the aspects that make a great performer, including building confidence, resilience and eliminating all obstacles standing in the way of your desired success.
I do my best to ensure the lessons are fun and enjoyable, giving you a chance to apply all that vocal technique to your favourite songs and express yourself authentically, because in the end that is what the audience will recognize.
I will also encourage you to set goals (big or small) to mark your progress and help you explore different ways of practice so that together we find what works best for you.
The goal is simple: to sing effortlessly and achieve your own sound whilst maintaining the best possible vocal function.
My attitude is always lead by a belief that a bit of kindness, goes a long way!
Perfect! Taking singing lessons to help get a better grasp & control of my voice, so that I’m not so nervous when I have to sing around others. Lea is great! Knowledgeable and patient, she helps me understand how to use my voice better. I like that she explains all the technicalities to me as that’s how I best learn - she’s always really encouraging & my confidence is increasing - really recommend her!

I've known Lea for many years now and her passion for singing is truly inspiring. My technique improved tremendously since I've started working with her.
Lea's vocal coaching is like no other I've had before and after only two lessons, I was able to sing notes that previously I could not reach, with ease.
