I am a year 12 student at the 3rd best secondary school in the UK, currently preparing to study medicine at university. Having achieved 10 A*s and 2 As at GCSE, I aim to pass on my knowledge to younger students in order to assist them with their education. Being a similar age to my pupils, I am better able to understand their thought processes and can advise and teach accordingly, by breaking concepts down into simpler ideas and assisting in practising new methods.
I have been a tutor within school for the past academic year where I have helped run an after-school chemistry club and been a biology mentor for a GCSE student. I have also been a teaching assistant at a local tuition centre for the past year where I have given lessons to classes of up to 30 primary school children and also taken part in one-to-one sessions as well. These students often go on to be accepted into two local grammar schools (both in the top 10 secondary schools in the UK).
