I am a patient and open-minded tutor who is able to be flexible and open to suggestions in terms of what works best for individual students. I understand every child is different and therefore different approaches are needed in order to help them succeed.
I have been helping family and friend's children with KS2 English for a year, given my passion for the subject. I took English Literature at A Level and have always scored highly in essay questions, creative blog writing (which I continue to do in my free time) and poetry analysis. I am an avid reader and writer and would love to do more in my spare time if my Politics degree allowed it!
47 Langton Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 6QR
I am a highly motivated and driven individual, who excels at meeting deadlines under pressure and being efficient and organised. This has been reflected by my ability to attain good GCSE and A Level grades, and allowed me to study at my university of choice.
I am an active team member and enjoy leading and taking on roles of responsibility, shown by my enthusiasm to take part in a 3 month international development project in Ghana. Here I worked with a diverse team of UK and international volunteers carrying out workshops, presentations and also completing group data reports.
I always welcome a challenge and look forward to stepping outside my comfort zone. This was shown when I travelled to the USA alone to complete a 3 month internship with a prestigious civil rights organisation. Here I furthered my communication skills, IT, and media strategy skills. I also improved upon my ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
I take pride in carrying out my work to the best of my ability, and supporting team members who may need it. I am an excellent individual learner as demonstrated by my ability to write my Extended Project Qualification on a science/medical subject without a background in these areas.
