I approach lessons on a personal level. I plan my lessons through student’s prerequisite knowledge and learning capability. However, that does not mean that lessons remain entirely fluid. There are strict contents that need to covered irrespective of the student. Since, I tutor subjective contents, discussions are a major part of the lesson plan. The more a student can openly discuss their train of thought- the better for the tutor. The more I know how the student is approaching every statement, rhetoric and context, the more I can adapt my lesson structure to give weightage to the areas of need. Hence, my overall approach to any lesson would be to make my student comfortable to engage in a variety of discussions to aid critical thinking skills.
