I am a Registered Nurse and Nurse Teacher (NMC), Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Principal Research Fellow, with over 30 years' experience in clinical nursing and 10 years in university education.

General nursing modules (pre-registration); health promotion; anatomy and physiology; dissertation supervision at undergraduate and post graduate level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse Teacher (PGCLT/HE); I have an MSc (Dist) in Health and Wellbeing, and a BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care; I am also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £25/hour. Tutorials may be booked as a one-off event or as a package depending upon a student's individual requirements.
- Where do you teach?
I teach online - either face to face via Skype or via email feedback - whichever suits the student best.
- When are you available?
My availability varies, but I tutor during weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age student but they must be studying at BSc/BA or MSc/MA level.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I offer Skype tutorials using video and audio, or just audio - whichever suits my student best. I can offer FaceTime tutorial but this tends to be less reliable. I am happy to conduct online tutorials via email if my student prefers. For multiple tutorials I offer a combination of Skype meetings plus email feedback.
- What kind of experience do you have?
For the past ten years I have taught nursing to pre-registration and post-registration students as a University in the South East of England, teaching both academic and clinical subjects. In addition, I have experience of writing research papers and proposals, and supervising both undergraduate and Masters levels students through their dissertation writing.
As well as subject-specific support, I am keen to help students understand their personal learning style, and develop their academic writing skills, including referencing and using literature to develop critical arguments within discussion.
