ABOUT HALINA’S TEACHING
I am a passionate non- native Online English teacher. Teaching is a big part of my life. For that understanding, I am a lifelong scholar.
I am in blended learning/ training and flipped classroom.
The traditional physical classroom settings for my lessons are not efficient enough.
In my view, technology gives us many new possibilities.
I prefer blended learning, which means, taking advantage of both, traditional f2f techniques and opportunities confronted by new technologies.
My students learn English in different contexts, mostly singing phrases, expressions, collocation, idioms, and phrasal verbs also telling stories.
I believe in using music in English teaching. My approach is that we do not speak the language, but we sing it.
English bears a unique melody, rhythm as well as intonation.

I have been participating in online teacher’s training courses since 2010.
I am a passionate teacher from Poland. I teach Polish as a foreign language and English.
I also conduct lectures in English on Polish History and Culture for students from all over the world.
Now I am learning how to teach using new technologies, and I am looking for some inspiration. I have been fascinated by WizIQ since I found the Platform.
In addition to this, I think to talk about Culture and Cultural Differences particularly attractive. I also believe that teaching language using songs is a compelling and enjoyable way of improving communication skills.
Now I want to improve my teaching/learning skills.
For me, to be an active learner means searching for updated information about different ways of understanding problems. I have been taking many online courses to improve my skills and teaching methods.
As for students, I talk them into active studying as well as being in charge of their own learning.
As a lifelong learner, I agree with Abraham Lincoln’s declaration "I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday."
As a passionate English teacher, I take advantage of new technologies.Using blended learning, flipping the classroom, learning by teaching or encouraging change from passive to fully active learners are significant implements in my teaching/ learning.
My application is to involve learners in all kinds of activities. Connecting and exchanging information should be done consciously; students need to be aware of the problems they face.
I find Virtual Classes tremendously exciting and challenging; they make attendees feel like having real meetings and discussion. Visual and audio tools that you can share with attendees are particularly significant.
Moreover, an opportunity to communicate online with people from around the world is an overwhelming experience as well as an incredible vision to connect for teaching and learning.
