Assessment for learning is a vital part of my teaching method. I work with the student to discover main strengths and barriers to learning and then use the strengths to support main areas of difficulty. Developing self awareness (how the difficulty impacts on learning) and confidence in abilities are also important elements of my teaching approach. I teach literacy, numeracy, study skills from GCSE to undergraduate degree and GCSE English Language catch up. Lesson content varies upon need but methods are well researched, multi sensory and effective.
