About the lesson

If you're interested in music and are looking for music tuition, guitar tuition or music technology tuition, feel free to send me a message. I am an extremely focused and friendly individual who can tailor make sessions to suite the specific needs of each student. Be it regular guitar tuition or the occasional proof reading/listening to work, I am highly flexible.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

Rock and Jazz Guitar from a beginners level to Grade 8.
Classical Guitar up to Grade 6.
GCSE and A-Level Music tuition.
Music Theory Grades 1-8.
Composition and harmony to an Undergraduate Level.
Music Technology (including engineering and production).

- Tell me about your qualifications.

Grade 8 Guitar.
First Class degree with Honours in Music from the University of Sheffield.
Currently undertaking a PhD in composition at the University of Sheffield.

- How much do you charge?

£15.00 for a 1hour initial consultation.
£20.00 per hour for Rock/Jazz/Classical guitar lessons.
£20.00 per hour for GCSE music tuition.
£22.00 per hour for A-Level/Composition/Theory sessions.
I have a car and will travel if requested, additional charges depending on the distance of travel can be discussed.

- Where do you teach?

I am more than willing to travel to students' homes or provide accommodation for teaching in Sheffield city centre. I am willing to travel to regions surrounding Sheffield, however, the city itself is preferable.

- When are you available?

Weekday evenings from 5:30. As I am a research student at the University of Sheffield, if tuition is required during weekdays it is possible, however we must check availability on a weekly basis. I am also available on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Students aged 7+
Grades 1-8 Rock and Jazz guitar.
Grades 1-6 Classical Guitar.
GCSE and A-Level Music.
Music Theory Grades 1-8

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have been teaching guitar for several years on an informal basis to friends. I have been performer for many years but recently began working as a studio guitarist. For the past year I have been giving music technology and composition support to undergraduate music students at the University of Sheffield.
