I always try to engage my students with exciting sessions that approach topics in a different way to the textbook. I find that this helps improve understanding of the topics. For example, rather than reciting and rewording the textbook I will try to find a real life example to work through, bring along a model or create a colourful memory aid with the student. I am aware everyone learns in a different way and try to adapt my teaching style to best suit the needs of the student.
I have undertaken training courses on LinkedIn to improve the effectiveness of my teaching.
I am an economics student at King’s College London, a top ten European university. I have been tutoring for over 3 years and have had great success with my students and positive feedback from them. I myself achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and three A*s at A level - including in maths and economics, where I got almost full marks. I have experience teaching high and low ability students and can adapt my teaching style to achieve the best results.

By the end of year 10, I was predicted to fail maths GCSE but after maths tuition with Ben, by the end of year 11, I achieved a B grade, which was way beyond what I thought possible. Ben’s planned and engaging approach really helped me.
Before I started my sessions with Ben, I was predicted to fail maths. After he had tutored me for a term, I began to really understand the subject and in my GCSEs got a B. I am very grateful for the help Ben gave me.
