I am a student in Luton studying A level biology, chemistry and maths. Recently I have decided to do some tuition for primary and secondary school pupils in mathematics. I would describe my teaching style as both logical and engaging. The content of what I cover could be dictated by the pupil based on their weaknesses or by what they are covering in class. I would provide plenty of helpful resources and urge them to practise what we have covered again, in order to consolidate their knowledge. My feedback to the pupil would be mainly positive and encouraging, however it would also be realistic. I would help them to identity their weaknesses and set achievable goals for their progression. Overall I am friendly, helpful and organised.
I have experience working as a classroom assistant at a local primary school in a Year 2 class. This has helped me gain skills such as communicating new ideas to the pupils and to give positive, constructive feedback when necessary. I am a confident and responsible leader who would not find any difficulty tutoring your child.
I have completed work experience at Stopsley Community Primary School, Luton. I have also been involved with volunteering at Stockwood Park Athletics Track leading sporting events for children aged 5-14.
I did my GCSE’s in 2017 and achieved six A*s and three grade 9s.
Currently, I undertake volunteer work at an out of school club for disabled young people. This involves organising activities, playing with the children and delivering general care. Because of my work there I have safeguarding training and I am DBS checked.
