I base my teaching on specific areas which the student has been struggling on in class. I will give them a practice question, which they will have some time to complete on their own, before I ask them to explain their methodology to me. If the answer is correct, I will show them a better way to do it, or simply increase the difficulty. I will then give the student a few more questions (the context for each question will be decided by the student, in order to make learning more enjoyable) which will allow me to assess their progress and ability.
I am looking to tutor children up to Year 9 at school.
I am a 17 year old student at Dartford Grammar School in year 12. After obtaining 3 A*'s, 7 A's and one B at GCSe, I am now taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Studying Higher Economics, Psychology, English, Sports Science, Maths and Chinese.
I have always had a passion for teaching, whether it be in sports, in the gym, with fellow classmates or teaching younger students at my school.
As part of the Service aspect for CAS, which is part of the IB diploma, I have been tutoring my younger cousin, who is a year 8 student in Maths, English and Biology.
