I like to involve learners as much as possible in learning and always try to foster good relationships with the learners so that they will try their best.
I always encourage learners to offer their opinions and will not put anyone down if they give incorrect answers.
I am happy working with individuals or groups of learners.

Experience

Physics teacher for 22 years to A- Level teaching "O" Level and GCSE.
Also included teaching GCSE Science modules and KS3 Science. I was also Head of Electronics for many years(GCSE).
8 + years lecturing in Mechanical Engineering in HE Colleges.

 Hard working. Extra curricular activities undertaken in bridge, chess, coaching badminton, revision classes and Duke of Edinburgh scheme. Apart from 1 weeks recuperation from an operation, no days off due to illness.

INTERESTS


I have a very keen interest in sports and keeping fit and have played badminton to county standard for many years. I have run in 4 London marathons between 1992 and 1996 raising a great deal of money for charity. I am a very competitive bridge player (Grand Master and Welsh international). As Welsh junior bridge co-ordinator I was responsible for training and managing junior teams in the Home Nations championship, two of my pupils becoming junior internationals. I have enjoyed playing rugby but have now retired! I also enjoy cooking and eating ,going to the gym and taking my dogs for a walk.
