My teaching approach is to ask students questions to identify what their academic struggles are, and then in each lesson focus on a particular area of work with which they require help. I would employ different teaching methods depending on the needs of the student. This could include discussing difficult concepts in an accessible way, advising on techniques to summarise information or represent it in different ways, reviewing assignment submissions or asking challenging questions.
