As a teacher of Religious Education with Head of Department experience, I have taught across the Key Stages from KS3, KS4, and KS5. My academic background consists of a BA in Theology and Religious Studies with First Class Honours. My teacher training was through the charity Teach First, from which I gained my PGCE and NQT qualifications with an outstanding grade.
I have a developed understanding of teaching students with varying needs and abilities from SEN to G&T students. Therefore, my lesson structure will be based on these specific learning needs. I like to keep learning fun and interactive with plenty of exam practice embedded in the lesson.
I have taught hundreds of students in secondary school (2014-2016) and continue to run journalism workshops in schools across London for the educational charity I currently work for.
Whilst I was Head of Department in the school I worked for in London (2015-2016), I raised the Religious Education GSCE results (A*-C) by 10% from the previous year.
