R S teacher with 20 years experience offers in-person or online lessons in the Poole and Bournemouth area

About the lesson

Every student is different and therefore my approach is adapted to each one. My most successful model for lessons is where we tackle any immediate issues of schoolwork and classwork so that particular stress is relieved. We then work through topics the student is lacking confidence in, and if appropriate look at GCSE exam questions. The time spent on each part varies with every lesson, but the aim is always to boost confidence by showing students they can do harder stuff, and getting them to look at GCSE questions from an early stage in their schooling.

About Nigel

I`m a Religious Studies teacher with 20 years experience of teaching 11-18 year olds in state education and 2 years experience teaching adults in one of Her Majesty`s prisons.

In years 7-9 my students who need regular help and a confidence boost have the reassurance that anything they struggle with in class they can crack with me outside the lesson, which massively reduces stress.

At Keystage 4 I tutor GCSE students throughout years 10 & 11, and students who only want extra help in the run up to exams. I have also helped students who are retaking RS GCSE to pass at the second attempt.

At A level I specialise in Ethics, Philosophy and Christianity and I have tutored students who are studying with AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas.

Lastly I am available to teach home schooled students during daytime hours.
