Hello, my name’s Amy and I’m a native English speaking tutor from England. If you’re looking to improve your English, then I’m the tutor for you! I am passionate about learning as well as for teaching so let me help you to develop into your full potential. With lots of fun and easy learning styles to tackle your struggles with comprehension and vocabulary, we can work together to exceed your goals!
I exert a positive attitude and an open mind at all times, which means I have a great understanding of how to create positive customer service and manners. Being enthusiastic plays a big part of my personality, which allows me to have the ability to work as a team very easily whilst having the initiative to remain responsible and capable of working independently. I am a good listener and possess a strong understanding towards others.
As a tutor, my teaching method is structured and organised yet flexible to my students individual needs. I base my classes around creativity and easy understanding. I approach each topic by my students individual needs.

I am looking to gain more experience for starting my PGCE in 2018. I have recently qualified for teaching English as a second language which I am keen to start giving lessons in. I am a three-times qualified gymnastics coach where I taught between one and 20 students with a variety of gymnastic styles. I have gained a level 3 NVQ in being a Teaching Assistant where I gained a lot of one-to-one teaching.
120-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language Methodology Course (2017-2018) - certified as a pass. I am qualified to teach large classes and one-to-one, teaching adults, teaching Business English, teaching grammar and vocabulary.
BA (Hons) Education Studies at the University College of London Institute of Education (2014-2017) - awarded with a 2:1 degree. I used historical and sociological research throughout my degree. I performed presentations in front of large class settings.
NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant diploma (2005-2006) - 2 years work experience in a primary school setting as well as two weeks before I started my degree. I was appointed person in the workplace for emergency first aid as I had already qualified through British Red Cross and as a paediatric first aider.
Sleaford Joint Sixth Form (2004) - awarded with 4 A-C A-Level's including I.T, Psychology and Travel and Tourism.
St. George’s College of Technology (2002) - awarded with 10 A-C GCSE's including English, Science and Maths.
I have achieved multiple awards for dance and gymnastics including two gold medals (2003–2008). After I stopped competing in competitions, I began volunteering as a coach which lead me to receive two assistant teaching certificates.
