My method of teaching involves establishing clear short and long term targets for each pupil and working at a pace reflective of the standard of their target with a fun and approachable manner. It is important to me that the students enjoy the tutorials as well as benefit from them academically.
I am able to provide additional example questions and recommend the best reference notes to use for each specific area of study, and help outside of tutorials is included in my rate. This includes being contacted at any time to request additional help on specific examples on topics that may have been discussed in previous tutorials.
I am extremely dedicated to my students and helping them achieve their targets is a high priority for me.
I'm Jack and I'm a fourth year student of Theoretical Physics at the University of Glasgow, having also studied abroad at the National University of Singapore for one year.
I achieved As at Intermediate 2 (equivalent to National 5 or GCSE), Scottish Higher and Scottish Advanced Higher level in both mathematics and physics, and am on track to receive a 1st class BSc in the aforementioned degree - therefore I am well qualified to teach at high school level for these subjects.
My interest in maths and physics is extremely strong and I very much enjoy sharing my passion for the subjects with younger students.
I've been tutoring Maths and Physics for over two years to students across a variety of age groups and abilities, all of whom have seen tremendous progress during our time together.
I charge a fixed rate of £25/hr for any level. This includes the preparation of extra worksheets and example problems designed to the individual needs of students to be used during lessons. I also provide my personal email address to all students, so they can email me if they have any problems with specific problems between our tutorials - at no additional charge.
