All sessions are shaped to the player’s needs and include technical and tactical skill coaching, fitness and development drills, and games. I often achieve this via the whole part whole training. Beside rugby skills, technique and fitness, a very important aspect is building the player’s CONFIDENCE.
Prior to every private session, a FREE 15 minute assessment session will take place, ideally outside and where the player can demonstrate their current level of rugby, abilities and skills. Then together, we will make a session plan and set goals for what we need to improve and how long it will take.
There are TWO types of coaching sessions:
1. PRIVATE COACHING
- Where the player can be trained on a specific rugby skill or/and fitness or/and agility and ability
- A maximum of 4 players accepted in a session however, they will be grouped in sessions ONLY if their level and the session aim are the same (arrangements can be made for larger groups)
- Duration : 1 h / 1.5 h / 2 h
2. ONE-TO-ONE COACHING
- One player only
- Firstly aimed at beginners to the sport or to those that want to gain that extra experience and understanding of the game.
- Secondly aimed at players wanting to push or break into a higher level of rugby.
- Every aspect will explained, demonstrated and repeated till perfection
- Duration : 1 h / 1.5 h / 2 h

Team or group training prices will be worked out with number of participants.

- UKCC Rugby coach Level 2
- CPD Coaching Continuity in a 15-a-side game
- CPD Coaching Back Attack in a 15-a-side game
- BSc sports performance coaching, Leeds Met Uni (in progress)
- Clear and current DBS check
After losing a finger and damaging my hand in a workplace accident James helped me get back on the rugby pitch faster than I ever imagined. He showed me new techniques to handle the ball and pass all based around my injury and working around it. But more important than that he gave me the confidence to believe I could get back on the pitch again. To be honest thanks to James I’m a better player after my injury than I was before!
