My teaching method is to help my students understand the topic and to love their subject. When they get those two things down, I believe they have the potential to do whatever they want to.
At the start of the lesson:
- A detailed outline of the topic we are working on
- Going through each section of the topic with diagrams and real life examples to help my students understand exactly what is happening
At the end of the lesson:
- A brief summary of the topic in flashcard form for the student to keep
- A notes template for the topic with a practise questions section for the student to do as homework for the next session
I am a Biomedical Science student at Coventry University who has previously led STEM club at my secondary school and sixth form. I have also given lessons to help friends and family with their studies and to build their confidence and love of learning. If you need help with any other subjects do let me know and I’ll see what I can do :)
My first interaction with my students is to get to know them and have a feel for what they may be finding difficult and what they enjoy, hence the free half hour lesson. This will help me form the basis of my lessons with them and it'll make for a more productive and enjoyable way of learning
She makes learning interactive and makes sure she pays attention to things I need to improve on by giving me tasks based on my difficulties whilst also helping me work through the questions.
