A lot of my methodology will depend on the student, and what level they are currently in in their understanding of the subject. That being said, the lesson structure would be partially to complete the student's assigned school homework, then partially to identify what topics they would need more practice in, and practice those together. If a test is coming up, I could compile a few questions that would be along the lines of the questions that would come up in the test.
As someone who used to struggle with maths until 10th grade, I have realized that a lot of questions seem harder/more complicated than they actually are, and my hope would be to help the student find keywords in questions and crack on with them easily!
I'm also quite approachable and really enjoy and have a lot of experience with working with those younger than myself (esp 11-15 year olds), and I enjoy maths! I hope this will help me develop a strong friendship with my student.
Given my experience, I would say that I can tutor well any grade upto year 11 (upto and including GCSE).
I'm a third year biomedical engineering student at Kings College London. I haven't had formal experience with tutoring maths, but I have a lot of friends who go to secondary/college and help them whenever they have questions. This is actually one of my main motivations for applying here! I also taught students in 6-8 grade in a large school for a year, but I was teaching English. Regardless that experience really helped me to teach better :)
Angie is great, she taught me everything I needed to ace my exams! Plus she's really friendly
She explains clear and concisely and is always very patient. 11/10
Angela is a very hard working and disciplined person. She is very flexible and can accommodate her hours to the needs of the student. She has a lot of experience working and teaching kids as well as young adults which makes her very suitable for this job. I also believe her charisma and personality would fit very well with the students as she's very outgoing and can understand and empathize with her students as she's a student herself.
Angela is a great tuto and makes you feel comfortable in class. She is always really helpful! I highly recommend her!
As a tutor, she is a friendly, helpful and reliable.
Angela is an extremely friendly and talented student who helps all her friends with any kind of work they need. She has performed exceptionally well in her university and puts in as much hardwork as she can into a task given to her.
