I would base my lessons on the specification of the course the student is doing and would approach it chapter by chapter. I would make sure to ask the student what they are struggling with the most and go through those topics thoroughly. Giving homework and exam questions will be another one of my methods because the student should have the most practice possible, in order to feel prepared and confident for their exams.
I have previously tutored students in both maths and science, and they successfully passed their GCSE exams and felt confident in their work. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at AE Tuition, where I helped students working towards the 11+ exams with their homework and practice papers.
I am currently a third year medical student at St George's, University of London.
