I am confident in Physics and Maths up to A Level, however, would prefer GCSE level. I will also fit the tutoring around the student and they're current lessons in school. I think I would be a great help as I 'am positive, patient and practical.
I am a physics student at the University of Salford and have only little experience within tutoring up to GCSE level. However, I have tutored family and friends in the past, where they've successfully passed. I am free at weekends and will travel if required to, preferably local.
I am an adventurous, ambitious and energetic person who has developed a responsible approach to tasks I’m given to undertake. Possessing good written and verbal communication and an interest in physics and engineering which has spanned my lifetime with a passion for flying and the RAF. I am currently an undergraduate studying a MSc in Physics at the University of Salford and I am looking for an opportunity to utilise my technical skills in a challenging work environment.

From 2011 to 2016 I worked as an assistant in my local dance school, gaining Level 2 qualifications in Melody Movement Early Learning Awards. This included planning lessons, writing summaries on how the class had gone and preparing a portfolio. Later I continued to gain the equivalent to the first year in an undergraduate degree within freestyle dance and cheerleading, from age 16 to currently. Progressing to teaching my own classes in various styles, preparing groups for exams and planning events.
Top Brink Inn (2015 to 2016)
For 2 years I was a waitress and a kitchen porter at a restaurant. This was a quick and fast paste job, where I had to remember orders and table numbers quickly. Including teamwork skills, when taking out orders and cleaning away.
Over the last year I have organised 2 charity events improving my communication, leadership and adaptability skills. These have both run successfully and I am currently organising another event. I have developed high levels of organisation skills throughout my time working as a dance teacher, having to produce many lesson plans during my spare whilst revising for exams. Also, starting from September 2019 I will be the social secretary of SUPS (Salford University Physics Society), which will greatly improve my social skills and organisation further. During my time at university, I have been involved in 3 different events where local school or the general public come in and do experiment for them, describing what and why things are happening. The event which I found most valuable was the Manchester Science Festival, here I spoke to all age groups, becoming more confident and aware of my surrounding by changing my tone for the general age of the group. At the moment, I am looking to improve my confidence, therefore when I give presentation or public speaking they are more articulate, and I will be less nervous.
I’ve been volunteered from age 16 with my local theatre, as well as performing in the theatre from age 11 to 18, working with children from the ages of 7 to 12, boosting their confidence and helping them gain different skills. Furthermore, I’ve danced for over 17 years at my local dance school, taking part in many performances, exams and events. Also, during my time in 6th form, I volunteered with NSC and went to Sri Lanka with them, teaching English to children and helping injured turtles and elephants. More recently, I have been involved in a society taking part in rock climbing, skiing and flying planes with the RAF University Air Squadron. Through this I have greatly improved my time management having to juggle the demands of university and the different aspects of my society. In my free time, I’ve spent few hours learning basic sign language as I think it’s a very valuable skill to have. I also love to travel, have going to over 10 countries and travelled to the south of France over 20 times.
