Methodology

I often read a piece once without changing it and will discuss exactly what the student wants to come from their piece. I will clean up their grammar and spelling and give written feedback so the student knows what they could work on.

Then I work with the student to strengthen their argument and to make their work even more impactful or to ensure their message is clear. I will gently question the student and will encourage them to come up with the ideas on their own, so they learn the skills necessary, rather than relying on me to rewrite their work for them.

This process can occur multiple times until both the student and I are happy with the finished product.
