- What kind of experience do you have?
I have ten years teaching experience, both privately and in schools, and two small children of my own who keep me busy when I'm not teaching! I am currently the general brass teacher at Fulham Prep School, and I previously taught french horn at James Allen's Girl's School from 2005-10 during which time I took a two students from their first note to getting a distinction in their Grade 8. I have one student who has just started at the Royal College of Music, studying french horn. I also teach privately in London. I have experience in ensemble coaching with Dulwich Youth Orchestra, James Allen's Girls' School Orchestra and South London Symphony Orchestra. I was an instrumental coach on the Royal College of Music Summer School in 2004 and I was involved in educational workshops in London nursery schools between 2001 and 2004 with my wind quintet.
I am a successful freelance french horn player, I play with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and many others. I also play on recording sessions, recently for Kanye West and Sting.I am also a singer songwriter with lots of experience playing in bands. Making my own music has always been very important to me.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I highly recommend Tim for the Trumpet. He is charismatic, dedicated and genuinely interested in helping kids learn. He is both proactive in coming up with ideas of how to get past niggles in learning and responsive to my queries, both by phone and email.
I have had a lot of music teachers (both for myself and my 3 kids) and Tim is a natural teacher - great with children and parents.View more recommendations
