I am a freelance French Horn player and teacher based in Cardiff and Bristol and am happy to teach all ages and abilities.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the French Horn and coach chamber groups and larger ensembles. I've also been the Performance Health lecturer at the RWCMD Junior College since 2013, and am happy to provide lectures on any area of Performance Health (warm ups/downs, sustaining a good technique, creating a healthy practice environment, healthy practice routines, performance anxiety, hearing protection, how to prevent performance-related injuries etc.).
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Masters (2015) and Bachelors Degree (2013, First Class) in Music Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I also completed my DipABRSM in brass teaching in 2012.
Upon completing my BMus in 2013, I won the Simon Clarkson Memorial Award for 'best overall musician' and both the June Emerson Launchpad Prize and the McGrenery Chamber Music Prize with New British Winds.
- How much do you charge?
£30 per hour, or £15 for half an hour.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Cardiff and Bristol but am willing to travel within reason.
- When are you available?
I am very flexible so please get in contact to arrange times.

I teach all levels and ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM and Trinity exams.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I perform professionally with orchestras such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Welsh National Opera Orchestra.
I teach at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Junior Academy, Bristol Cathedral Choir School, Taunton School, Bristol Plays Music; and am the manager of the newly formed 'Bristol Centre for Young Musicians'.
