Learning something new can be a daunting idea. Especially with something like music. There is so much to learn! So much amazing music out there already. “How could i ever shine in such an established industry” The answer is simple, by being yourself. By concentrating on original ideas you can rewrite the rule books. This philosophy is at the heart of my tuition.
After many years as both a professional music producer and as a teacher I have developed a wide range of approaches to teaching the art of electronic music production. My lessons and courses are structured and will leave you with all the relevant skills you need to write music to a professional level. I am happy to teach complete beginners right through to highly experienced producers looking to fine tune their skills.
My courses are 100% tailored to you, based on your skill level and learning style, which is one of the huge benefits of learning 1-2-1. So as a complete beginner we can focus your learning around your musical tastes and inspirations and for more advanced producers I can create a course that focuses specifically on areas you feel need improvement.
So, after our initial consultation, which will establish where you come from musically, what it is you are trying to achieve, what experience you already have etc. I can go away and create a structured course that will challenge you and bring out your best music.
I have a scheduling system the means that you can find the most convenient time of day/week for your lessons. I will also introduce you to my school WhatsApp group where my students discuss techniques and upload their music for constructive feedback.
Lessons are conducted very conveniently via Zoom. Meaning we can freely share our screens and talk to one another in realtime. We also record each lesson which proves to be a huge benefit to my students as they can go back and go over challenging techniques in their own time.
Below are some examples of the kind of modules you can expect in the Introduction course:
Chosen DAW Overview (Ableton/Logic)
Pre-Producing Your Tracks
Recording and Working with Audio
Synthesis and Sound Design
Arranging Your Track

As a producer, I have been releasing music commercially for around 18 years, mainly on the major Drum and Bass record labels such as Metalheadz and Hospital Records. I have also written 3 well-received albums and been involved in many collaborative projects.
Over the years I have worked in countless different studios and practiced a wide variety of different production techniques which has put me in a great position to teach!
As a teacher, I have a wealth of experience behind me. My first position after completing my teaching diploma was at London's leading music production collage Point Blank where I was their 'Introduction To Ableton Live' course tutor. I am also a regular tutor at various different studios in London.
I am as passionate about teaching and sharing my expertise as I am about producing music. I find it deeply rewarding to watch young producers develop their identity and their sound. Music is such a personal thing, so it's always so interesting and often really surprised to listen to how each student adapts the knowledge you have taught them.
My students can expect to walk away with much more than just textbook music production skills. I take great pride in nurturing young producers and helping them find their feet in the music industry. I will provide help and advice to them with everything from what equipment to invest into what record labels they should approach and will continue to mentor them long after their course is finished.
I charge 80£ for a 2h hour lesson and i only book these in blocks of 5 or 10.
I do this so that i can build a course around your specific needs and it give us enough time to really learn and gain some proper skills!

Perfect! George has helped me tremendously, giving me a clear insight into each facet of music production and new tools for me to experiment with. His approach is collaborative and makes sure he goes through what you need, with a fine tooth- comb.
Would highly recommend to anyone starting or already experienced!
Jimmy’s a pleasure to teach. He’s a very accomplished producer already so most of my tuition for him is around mixing and engineering sounds to get the most out of them. Lovely chap too. Great barnet!
George is not only an absolute legend of the D&B scene but also a fantastic tutor and mentor which makes his sessions a very unique opportunity. I really enjoyed that the content is straight to the point, practical and exactly the stuff you really want to know. In a short time I've learnt loads from specific processing techniques to how to actually approach / get the most of the overall creative process.
In addition to the tuition itself, the community which George is creating for his students to interact with each other and share music has been really beneficial to me as it has connected me up with likeminded people from around the world in a similar position.
I'm on my 5th 1-2-1 lesson with George aka "Commix" and the amount of value and insight I've gained is immense. He really helped me understand what it takes to make a great piece of music and how to approach the creative process. I highly recommend joining the class of Bear Music Tuition if your serious about taking your productions to the next level ;)
Amazing teaching style, really pushes you out of your comfort zone. Would highly recommend
I found about George doing tutoring through a mutual friend and I could tell from our early chats that he would be the right tutor for me. There is so much noise out there when you are learning to produce, you get pulled in so many directions reading this, watching that. But George has helped me simplify the way I think about making music, which in turn allows you to be more productive and focus on the most important thing: actually being creative and making good art that means something to you on an emotional level. I've learned a lot of detail too but that is the biggest overall game changer. So thanks George, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone reading this.
I have been taking One on One Ableton classes with George. His knowledge of Sound Synthesis and composition is profound. His approach to teaching it is simple and can be used in Various forms of Electronic Music.
I’ve just finished a course of online lessons with George and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done to develop my knowledge of music production and how I approach making music.
We covered creativity and coming up with a unique concept for a tune, which really helps keeps things focused and fast paced. There’s a also a focus on creating your own sounds and samples rather than reaching for usual sample packs. We also covered fundamental aspects of production such as breakbeats and sampling, drum programming, sound design/synthesis and bass. The online format works well and I could hear and see George’s screen & audio perfectly. There’s a good structure to the lessons but George was happy to deviate slightly if I had specific questions or if there were certain aspects I had an interest in.
Obviously George is a drum and bass legend with his productions as Commix, so it was a privilege to learn first hand how he approaches making music and seeing him build beats and other elements of a tune from scratch.
I’ve been making music for a few years now and these sessions with George have given me a new motivation and interest to explore some different techniques, as well as going back to basics of sampling and using breaks.
George's incredible credentials as a musician need no introduction, but on a personal level it's his teaching skills that really shine. He'll meet you at current skill level and guide you through the foundational aspects of making music, most importantly getting you to think for yourself and make the most authentic and original music you can. In this world of a billion plugins and processes George will strip you right back to what you need and build you from there into thinking for yourself. A legendary teacher
George's lessons have been so helpful, even from our first chat before the lessons started. He's an absolute boss, so full of priceless production wisdom, whether it's the technical stuff or simply how to approach writing tunes. He's super easy to chat to and I've honestly left every session pumped to apply everything he's just shared.
Would highly recommend regardless of what level you're at, there's always more to learn from someone as good as George
