I teach adults how to get the best out of using their computer or electronic device by delivering a structured IT course to adults.
Various aspects of IT are covered each session and each week they learn a new topic. Step by step hand-outs and exercises are provided in order to assist with learning.
I have been an IT Tutor for over 6 years, providing group or one to one sessions.
Most of the students that I teach have been in one to one sessions but I have been teaching in groups of 10.
I have undertaken various work experience placements in teaching environments and therefore have gained various qualifications within IT and teaching. I completed all my education qualifications such as GCSE's and A Levels within IT. I then continued onto achieve a BTEC HND in Computing.
I have undertaken various training qualifications in order to supplement my learning such as ECDL, Microsoft and a PTLLS Teacher Training in Adult Teaching.
I helped pupils at Beauchamp, Loughborough and St Crispin’s train a small group of pupils and teachers in the use of particular pieces of hardware and software. I sometimes had to deal with conflict and challenging behaviour.
For two years I worked voluntarily as an E-Learning Champion working with learners of all ages, either in one to one or small groups, giving them the confidence to use the internet and create Word documents. I took them through a structured online training system helping them take their first steps with computers.
I also work round my local and surrounding villages giving IT lesson in one to one situations to adults wishing to learn mire about their computer and how to use it proficiently.
