My name is Maria and I have a degree in English Literature and Special Educational Needs. I also hold the Certificate of Competency in Educational Testing accredited by the British Psychological Society, which gives me the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and provide support to primary school children as well as feedback and suggestions to parents on children's development. I can contribute to all pupil's personal development by assisting in building their confidence in speaking, reading, writing and numeracy. From my own experience, the progression through the activities is helpful, particularly for learners with dyslexia and autism, as it assists them to understand the learning material with a new layer of difficulty added each time.
I have over six years of experience teaching young people across mixed levels. I am experienced in supporting pupils with dyslexia, ADHD and autism and I am now looking to work as a private tutor to primary school children whose family feels that they need extra support in their learning to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. It is a great feeling I think when you inspire a child to achieve a piece of writing in literacy. Seeing my students overcome challenges and succeed gives me an immense sense of pride.

I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Maria Vasilaki. We worked together as full time English teachers for 6 years in Mytilene, Greece. She worked for the summer months of 2010 to 2016 from the June to September. And she worked on a daily basis from Monday to Friday were she taught English as a Foreign Language from junior class levels up to the First Certificate in English B2 level English.
Her daily duties were to open and close the school, preparing work materials for her lessons and for students to take home for homework, preparing students for international tests in English, liaising between parents and staff, administrative tasks and banking duties. She performed her tasks quickly, efficiently and accurately.
Maria has many fine qualities as an employee and as a person. She is a dependable, helpful and cooperative person who is always willing to assist others. She is highly motivated and extremely capable of achieving her goals outside of her native land.
As an English teacher I can say her English is of a high standard, she can express herself clearly both in written and speaking form. As a teacher she was highly responsible and treated her students with a caring manner. I highly recommend Maria to you
