I plan lessons with a very high level and customisation of detail based on the student's requirements. The first step is identifying what they are struggling with which will be addressed in following sessions. Generally I split a lesson as follows - a short discussion/ lecture based on the syllabus - interactive segment (working together through a problem) - concluding in exam orientated questions and feedback on their answers.
I have years experience tutoring GCSE pupils during my A-level studies and through to undergraduate level. During my postgraduate studies and most recently as a PhD student I have been involved in mentoring undergraduate students and teaching lab demonstrations/ marking lab books.
