One of my greatest strength is to push students to seek an understanding of what they create, how they perceive the world around them and the work they produce in relation to it. By nurturing each student's creative process and intelligence I am able to meet their unique needs and create a favourable work environment. Each student is encouraged to enhance its own personal skills through one-to-one support. My goal is to support students by developing their motivation, creativity and skills while showing them how art relates to political, economic and environmental issues.
Along with my passion for teaching, I practice my creative skill by working on different freelance projects and collaborating with artists. I have gain industry experience before graduating. My range of skills and my strong knowledge of modern cultural references and history of fashion and art support each student to develop meaningful projects with unique references.
Emma is one of our best tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!
I graduated from Ba Fashion Design in Central Saint Martins, I now work in freelance for design and pattern-cutting, and I teach as well, I work on Central Saint Martins short courses as a tutor and I have regular students for sewing, design, business or pattern cutting tutorials, I'm currently working on my PGCE further education. I worked 2 years in Lucyury Atelier with experiences as Pattern cutting assistant at Acne Studio, at Mary Katrantzou, Moschino and as a design and studio assistant at Samuel Gui Yang,
Students coming regularly create their own design and work towards creative models and personal goals. Once the base is strong the teaching becomes guidance and showing different paths of realization for each design and helping the students to achieve them independently. A lot of students also book a large number of hours for a specific project they want to achieve and they've all been really content with their achievement, I'm really grateful as a tutor to have such wonderful students and I really love my job.
Students & Universal Credit receiver -> 30£ / hour or 10h for 250£
I have been awarded the Silver Prize in 2019 at the Yinger Prize Competition in Shenzen and 2019 scholars from the prestigious Nina Stewart scholarship.

I’ve been having lessons with Emma for over a year and she is awesome! I was a complete beginner and she has taught me the foundations of garment construction which is pretty challenging but she’s so patient and the lesson are fun! Emma is also very professional in her approach (always on time starting) and provides a good amount of structure. I can’t recommend her enough!

She is high and multi skilled so you can expand your knowledges in a variety of fields (art, dressmaking, textile, textile printing, etc).
And most of all she is a very kind person always eager to help you in your projects!
Emma is a brilliant tutor, I can’t recommend her enough. I have learnt so much, guiding and teaching me from a beginner point as a fashion design BA student, her knowledge is great and has helped me with sewing techniques and pattern cutting. So grateful to have found her and doubt I’ll ever stop going for lessons!
Emma gives me sewing classes since January. She is really reliable and trustworthy. I love to spend time with her as teacher-student dynamic and now as friends. She shared her experience and her passion for sewing and design. She managed to lead me toward my goal. Now I'm more independant but she is still present and giving me some valuable tips.
