I was in the same boat as you. I've recently finished year 13 with fantastic marks after much trial and error, so I'm familiar with today's school system and how frustrating the exam system can sometimes be. I'm here to tell you the stuff that I wish I was told when I was in your position.
I've fumbled around for many years trying to find the most effective ways to study that will directly translate to exam marks so that you don't have to. I'm here to tell you what matters and what is and isn't worth your time in a friendly peer-to-peer fashion. I will tell you where to find new linear spec questions, teach you effective note taking, give you my personal notes and teach you how to maximise results while minimising struggle. After learning and understanding the material over the course of the year, come March time you just want to know that you will have something to show for it in the exam. Unfortunately, the system is not perfect and understanding does not always transfer to grades, you need to play the examination game. I will teach you how to "cheat" the system by knowing what examiners want, being aware of how mark schemes are written and presenting your work as best as possible. I'm also free to contact between lessons for quick help.

**I also offer personal statement help. My own personal statement was accepted by Imperial, UCL, King's and Warwick. I have helped different people write personal statements for a range of different degrees including: UG Radiology (accepted into first choice university (University of Hertfordshire)), UG Psychology (yet to submit) and PG Restorative Dentistry (accepted into UCL Eastman Dental Institute).
I attended sixth form at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School and I'm currently on a gap year with deferred entry for MSci Maths and Physics at UCL. I am new to formal tutoring but I seek to combine a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor as well as ensuring my students are exam savvy to get the marks they deserve.

I was Ali's Year 6 teacher during the academic year 2010-2011.
Ali is a hardworking, respectful and honest young man. His recent A-level results are a testimony to his desire to succeed. However, he has always been motivated from a young age and constantly seeks to question and discover much about the world around him. Ali is well read and articulate and I believe he has all the hallmarks to contribute successfully and purposefully to all he undertakes.
