My name is Joshua Olusanya and I am a Mathematics and Philosophy Undergraduate at the University of York, however, I am originally from London. I tutor mathematics at all levels up to degree level. My methods of teaching vary from student to student, as everyone is different and learns differently. As a teacher, I am attentive, nurturing and humorous from time to time. I aim to make sessions as fun as possible, while still meeting all objectives set at the start of each tutoring session.
I have been giving lessons for 3 years and have taught students ranging from large groups (30) to conducting one on one sessions. The students I have taught have all been able to exceed their own, as well as their academic institution's predicted grades and gone on to be great mathematicians.
Higher the level of work, higher the hourly rate
I am currently in my second year at university and I am on track to graduate with a 1st class. I achieved an A grade at A-Level Mathematics as well as an A for GCSE Mathematics. Upon my arrival to the University of York, I was awarded a scholarship for my academic achievements (York Opportunity Scholarship). Furthermore, I have tutored for 3+ years with Tutora, IQBuddies and at Catherm High School. Furthermore, in my pursuit of being an Investment Analyst at a leading financial institution, my numerical skills are constantly required when dealing with stocks, graphs, calculations and valuations etc.
