I am a 20-year-old university student studying English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Surrey. My approach to tutoring is to tailor and structure my lessons to my student's needs.
Whether it be a focus on exam technique and essay writing, or understanding set texts better or even just going through practice papers with my students, I will always discuss with them what they feel to be most beneficial.
Often I find getting my students to write practice essays and working with them to refine their technique and writing skills to be the most successful approach, particularly at GCSE and A Level.
I have been tutoring for over a year now, and have worked with primary education, GCSE and A Level students, as well as students with learning disabilities.
I have an excellent success rate, with one student going from a D to an A in her mock exams. I also see a vast improvement in the fluency, coherence and strength of essay writing most commonly, and an improvement in concentration with my younger students with learning disabilities.
