My approach to teaching is through engaging my students in the subject: if they find themselves loving the ideas they will flourish. I find this is often achieved through discussing the student's ideas and gently challenging them. Specifically with history and politics, where so much of the content is subjective, being exposed to other ideas and defending your own is a key skill in academic development.
I graduated this year from UCL with a first in Politics and Eastern European Studies, combining history and politics courses. Throughout my studies I have assisted several other younger students in writing first class essays, focusing on developing their underlying skills to guarantee future success. Whilst at sixth form I tutored a number of high school students in history.
