I believe it's important especially with maths and science to try and explain things from initial principles. Giving people a better understanding of why things are used and why certain methods are important, often teaching in this way results in things being able to be memorised better instead of just rote learning. I'm very flexible in terms of ways to teach, either by preferences by student/ parent or instead adapting the tutoring once I have an idea of how the student best responds to different styles of teaching.
My name is Zohar Collins, I'm a Physics student currently studying at the University of Leeds. Originally from London, I am the oldest of 4 children. Tutoring my siblings with their maths and science whilst also doing quite a lot of volunteering with kids over spring and summer holidays made me think I was suited to doing tutoring. I would describe myself as a warm, sociable and likeable person.
I'm open to possibly doing deals involving multiple hours. Online tutoring cheaper because isn't factoring in travel.
